Chef Ian McAndrew

With over five decades in the culinary world, Chef Ian McAndrew and his wife Jane bring a wealth of experience in hospitality. They've worked in renowned hotels such as The Dorchester, The Carlton Tower, and Hamburg's Vier Jahreszeiten, building solid reputations along the way.

Ian’s career highlights include earning a Michelin star at Eastwell Manor just a year into his first head chef position. Later, he and Jane launched their own restaurant in Canterbury, where he regained his Michelin star within the first year, holding it for eight years. Notably, Ian was the youngest English chef to achieve this accolade.

Over the years, Ian has trained many successful chefs, including Andrew Fairlie and Michael Deane. His three books, A Feast of Fish, Poultry & Game, and A Feast of Fish 2, were not only best-sellers, but became stalwarts in the kitchens of the next generation, his contributions are featured in Kit Chapman’s Great British Chefs, as well as many other publications.
